A fast-growing deciduous shade tree with medium green foliage that provides strong seasonal interest. In fall, the leaves turn brilliant shades of red and orange, creating a striking autumn display. Its upright, rounded growth habit and strong branching structure make it an excellent choice for lawns, streetscapes, or large landscape plantings.
This maple is valued for its vigorous growth, adaptability, and tolerance to a variety of soil conditions. It grows best in full sun and prefers moist, well-drained soil. It is hardy, low maintenance, and provides excellent shade as it matures.
- Foliage : The leaves are lobed, a vibrant medium green during the summer, turning a brilliant and spectacular red-orange to red in the fall.
- Growth : Its growth is considered fast to moderate. It reaches a mature height of 12 to 15 metres (40 to 50 feet) and a very limited width, approximately 3 to 5 metres (10 to 15 feet).
