'Acer palmatum* 'Moonfire' is a beautiful upright Japanese maple known for its deep burgundy to nearly black-red foliage. It resembles the popular 'Bloodgood' maple but is valued for its ability to retain its rich dark red color throughout the growing season, even during summer heat.
