‘Shishigashira’, also known as Lion’s Head maple, is an upright Japanese maple with crinkled deep green leaves and dense, architectural branching.
 
It holds its rich green color all summer and puts on a stunning fall display of golden yellow with hints of red and orange. Growing 8–12 feet over time, it thrives in sun or shade and is popular for bonsai, containers, and adding unique texture to the garden.
