'Shindeshojo' is a small, deciduous tree prized for its vibrant spring foliage. The new leaves emerge a striking scarlet to fire-engine red, eventually fading to greenish-bronze in the summer. It's a relatively low-maintenance tree, best pruned in summer after the leaves have fully developed.
 
It has a shrubby growth habit and can grow to be about 8 feet tall and 12 feet wide.
